Sarra El Hamzaoui

Sarra El Hamzaoui is a recent Health Sciences graduate of Northeastern University. Her main research interests include infectious diseases, specifically neglected tropical diseases and their impacts on populations in low-to-middle income countries. Prior to joining the REDI-NET team, Sarra worked in industrial settings with Fluent BioSciences on developing cost effective and scalable single-cell RNA sequencing technologies. She also worked with Proteus Ocean Group on global health related projects to find efficient and effective technologies and protocols to expedite the drug discovery process using an innovative underwater research facility, PROTEUS TM . Sarra is currently working in the Diagnostics and Surveillance Department for Viral and Rickettsial Diseases as part of the REDI-NET project at the Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC).
