Navy Entomology Center of Excellence (NECE) Entomologist

Christy Waits has worked as a contractor for NECE for seven years. In her time at NECE, Waits has worked on indoor residual spray testing of new product formulations and on molecular resistance testing for Aedes aegypti against pyrethroid insecticides. She is currently in the Research and Development department at NECE and is also in her second year as a PhD student. Her research interests are infectious disease and immunology focusing on flaviviruses.
