Nick Parten

Nick Parten was a student at the University of Notre Dame with the class of 2025. He was majoring in Science Pre-Professional Studies with a minor in Compassionate Care in Medicine and plans to attend medical school after graduation. Nick has worked as a research assistant  at Notre Dame since the fall of 2022, and his interests in global health and epidemiology brought him to join the REDI-NET team in the spring of 2024. He worked on pathogen surveillance from environmental and animal samples using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) in the Achee-Grieco laboratory.
