Grace Billhartz

Grace Billhartz is an undergraduate student in the Class of 2025 at the University of Notre Dame. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Professional Studies with minors in Compassionate Care in Medicine and Poverty Studies, and intends on going to medical school after graduation. Grace’s interest and passion for global health led her to join the REDI-NET team in the Fall of 2022. She worked on tick imaging and identification and on pathogens detection from water samples from Belize in the Achee/Grieco laboratory. Grace has published an article in Scientia Journal entitled "Seasonality of Water-borne Pathogens Detected using NGS Approach in Belize, Central America".
