Dr. Zimmerman presents poster at ICCB 2023

Dr. Dawn Zimmerman, Director of the Wildlife Health for Smithsonian's Global Health Program and REDI-NET consortium partner, recently attended the Society for Conservation Biology's 31st International Congress for Conservation Biology (ICCB 2023) held in Kigali, Rwanda. Dr. Zimmerman, along with the Veterinary Initiative for Endangered Wildlife and University of Rwanda, presented a poster titled Wildlife disease surveillance: an early warning system for pathogen emergence and wildlife conservaton. In this presentation, Dr. Zimmerman highlights REDI-NET and other networks who provide surveillence systems to fill a 'blind spot' at the human-livestock-wildlife interface.
