A new leech trap constructed of PVC materials that was designed by Dr. Michael von Fricken of George Mason University and Dr. Yvonne Linton of the Walter Reed Biosystematics Unit to be carnivore and hippo-proof was successfully tested at Kenyan field sites. This is one of 3 leech trap designs the REDI-NET program field teams are using in a variety of ecologies.
