The American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (ASTMH) will hold its annual meeting on October 18-20 in Chicago, IL. 

REDI-NET consortium partners participating in the poster presentations are:

Dr. Nicole Achee, Research Professor at the University of Notre Dame's Eck Institute for Global Health and Lead Principal Investigator for REDI-NET, will be presenting a poster titled, "The Remote Emerging Disease Intelligence - NETwork (REDI-NET): Preparing for Zoonotic Spillover Threats". 

Dr. Hsiao-Mei Liao, Research Scientist from the Naval Medical Research Center, will present her findings with "Tick Surveillance in Florida Using a Nanopore Metagenomic Sequencing Approach: Implications on Pathogen Detection and Monitoring of Insecticide Resistance".

Dr. Benedicte Fustec, Postdoctoral Researcher from the University of Notre Dame, will present her research titled "The Remote Emerging Disease Intelligence-Network: Enhancing Biosurveillance Using Water and Sediment Samples from Belize, Central America".

Stacy Mowry, third-year doctoral candidate in the Perkins lab at the University of Notre Dame, will present her work on "Improving Distribution Models of Sparsely Documented Disease Vectors by Incorporating Information on Related Species via Joint Modeling".
