The Center for Research Computing at the University of Notre Dame is completing final beta-testing of the mobile application facilitating field surveillance of ticks, leeches, water, and soil. The meta-data collected with the samples will track through the steps from the mobile application to the processing and testing data that will all be linked in the REDI-NET Data Portal. These data points feed through the e-MERGE pipeline and into the risk projection models being developed.
Testing of the mobile application has been done primarily in Belize with the Belize Vector and Ecology Center (BVEC) Silver lab field team and their feedback has been integral in the optimization of the mobile application features and logic flow.
