REDI-NET personnel from the Walter Reed Bioinformatics Unit and the University of Notre Dame joined the team at the Naval Medical Research Center in Silver Springs, MD for a two-week collaborative training exercise on the lab processing and testing standard operating procedures (SOPs). These Gold lab personnel will take this comprehensive training and transfer knowledge to the Silver lab personnel at the Mpala Research Centre (Kenya), Belize Vector and Ecology Center (Belize), and the Navy Entomology Center of Excellence (Florida). Having all REDI-NET personnel fully trained on the established and optimized SOPs is an integral part of capturing high quality accurate data sets that will be used to inform public health decisions once the REDI-NET is up to full scale.
